Kevin Dabbs - Music
Are you ready to ROCK? Do you want to learn how to write, play and produce your own hit pop song? Kevin Dabbs is a professional musician/singer and award-winning teacher. His main instrument is the drums, and so with a heavy emphasis on rhythm and groove, Kevin will take students through the entire process of music-making, from composing and playing/performing to recording, mixing and mastering. Students will deconstruct tunes from the likes of Billie Eilish, AC/DC, The Beatles, Ed Sheeran and Queen, in order to understand how to create their own chart-busting hits from the ground up. This is a hands-on musical journey that will see students playing everything from full drum kits, xylophones and ukuleles to bongo drums, boom-whackers and bass guitars! Students will then move to the production side of the studio, recording, mixing and mastering their musical compositions. Everyone goes home with a Billboard Top 100 Hit! Let’s DO THIS!!
